Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask about Cloud Cinema Pro. Something missing? Get in touch and ask — a human reads every one.

The basics

What is Cloud Cinema Pro?

A cloud platform for running outdoor screens — LED displays, venue cinema systems and signage screens. You manage content, schedules and screen health from a browser; a media player at each screen caches everything locally and plays it on schedule, with or without a live internet connection.

How do I get it?

Cloud Cinema Pro is part of the custom screen solutions we deliver through Outdoor Cinema Pro — it comes with the screens we build and supply, and can run on suitable screens you already own. Get in touch and we will scope it with you.

Who is behind it?

Cloud Cinema Pro is built by Outdoor Cinema Pro, the Australian outdoor cinema and LED specialist supplying councils, resorts, schools and operators nationally. The platform grew out of running our own screens and our clients’.

Who is it for?

Anyone who operates a screen that has to work without a technician beside it: councils with civic screens, holiday parks and resorts, sports clubs, retail precincts and attractions, and professional outdoor cinema operators running many sites.

Hardware & setup

What hardware do I need?

A compact Android-based media player connects to your screen and runs the Cloud Cinema Pro device app. If your display accepts a standard video input, it can almost certainly be driven this way.

Does it work with a screen I already own?

In most cases yes — the media player drives LED displays, projectors and commercial screens over standard inputs. Tell us about your setup when you get in touch and we’ll confirm.

I don’t have a screen yet. Can you help with that too?

Yes. Outdoor Cinema Pro — the company behind the platform — designs, supplies and installs outdoor cinema systems and permanent LED screens Australia-wide, so the hardware and the software can arrive as one working system.

Connectivity & reliability

Does the screen need constant internet?

No. Internet is used to receive new content and report status. Content downloads ahead of time, resumes through dropouts, and is verified on the device — playback itself runs entirely from local storage.

What happens if the power goes out mid-session?

When power returns, the device works out what it should be doing and rejoins the program automatically — no one has to visit the site or press anything.

How do I know the screen is actually working?

The platform monitors every device continuously — connectivity, playback, content readiness and storage — and notifies your nominated people when something needs attention. You choose who hears about what, and quiet hours hold non-critical alerts overnight.

Running a movie night

Can I control the screen during the event?

Yes — pause, resume, stop, seek and volume from any browser, anywhere. There is nothing to install and no line-of-sight remote to lose: your laptop, tablet or phone is the remote. You can also hand the person running the night a secure operator link that opens the controls on their phone, no account needed.

How do sponsor pre-shows and announcements work?

Build the night as a sequence: sponsor reel, a hold while the crowd settles, the feature, another hold, then your announcements. Holds wait until you continue them — or auto-continue on a timer — so the night runs at the pace of the audience. Tag sponsor content and the platform builds a report of what actually played.

What if plans change on the night?

Press Play Now: pick any content, the platform confirms it is cached and ready, and it is on screen. When it ends, the schedule takes back over automatically. The plan is a starting point, not a cage.

Content & pricing

What content can it play?

Video, still images, looping playlists and text pages — quick announcement screens composed in the portal with your message over a colour, gradient or image background. Cinema-style sequences chain items into a complete session: trailers, sponsor reel, feature.

What will it cost?

Pricing is tailored to the solution — how many screens, which sites, and what hardware they run on. Tell us about your setup and we will quote the platform and hardware together.
